Musk won’t lose sleep over the $11 million he burned on jet fuel last year. Trump will still rake in $14 million a month from taxpayers to pay for spending half his time on the golf course.
To support the claims in my research, I leveraged a variety of resources, including around twenty-five publications, search engines, and multiple deep research tools. The evidence is overwhelming. If you’re interested in the full compendium of findings, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at bill@southworth.tv.
The world is watching America, and we must ask ourselves: Will we allow our guardrails to collapse, or will we unite to protect the republic that countless generations have fought to uphold? The time to act is now. If we allow these authoritarian moves to become the status quo, we risk losing everything we hold dear. We owe it to ourselves and to the very essence of America to fight for the democracy we deserve.
Bibliography
1. The following sources were used in preparing this article. Many are biased and maybe it’s not possible to be unbiased today. I’ve tried to balance the research with varying points of view from the far left to the far right. A lot comes from the news sources I find most credible, Reuters, AP, The Guardian, Washington Post, and The Economist. Of course, that list reflects my own bias.
1. American Immigration Council. (2025, January 21). Statement Condemning “Invasion” Rhetoric and Mass Deportations. Step 1 Center/Left High Reliability “The executive orders claim a novel constitutional right to suspend the ‘physical entry’ of people declared to be engaging in ‘invasion.’ It is not clear what this means, and future guidance or policy changes may better illuminate it.”
2. Fox News. (2025, January 23). Trump’s Return: A Necessary Crackdown at the Southern Border. Step 1 Right High Reliability “Trump is also directing Homeland Security and the Department of Defense to finish installing sections of the border wall.”
3. Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. (2025, January 25). Reaction to “Schedule F” and Federal Employee Protections. Step 2, Step 4 Left High Reliability “Trump administration officials elected to bypass the regulatory process to rescind Biden-era rules aimed at barring Schedule F’s revival, setting up a bigger fight over the president’s authority.”
4. National Review Editorial Board. (2025, January 28). Presidential Prerogatives and Federal Workforce Realignment. Step 2 Right High Reliability “Monday’s order reinstates President Trump’s October 2020 executive order that sought to exempt certain federal employees from those civil service protections by designating them under ‘Schedule F,’ a new classification for agency personnel in policy-making positions.”
5. Committee to Protect Journalists. (2025, January 30). Report on Federal Restrictions and Threats to Media Access. Step 3 Center High Reliability “CPJ, SPJ, journalist groups call on Trump administration to restore AP access to White House.”
6. Fox News Town Hall Transcript. (2025, February 1). “I’m Not a Dictator” – President Trump’s Joking Response. Step 3, Step 7 Right High Reliability “I said, ‘I’m going to be a dictator for one day. We’re going to do two things. The border, we’re going to make it so tight you can’t get in unless you come in legally. And the other is energy. We’re going to drill, baby drill. After that, I’m not going to be a dictator.’”
7. The Guardian. (2025, February 2). Columbia Student’s Detention Sparks International Outcry. Step 3 Center/Left High Reliability “Khalil was apprehended by agents from the Department of Homeland Security on Saturday, marking one of President Donald Trump’s initial attempts to deliver on his pledge to deport certain foreign students linked to the pro-Palestinian protest movement.”
8. United States Department of Justice Inspector General’s Brief. (2025, February 5). Analysis of DOJ Firings and “Weaponization” Inquiries. Step 4, Step 10 Center/Neutral High Reliability “Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove yesterday accused the FBI’s acting leaders of ‘insubordination’ over resisting the request to identify Jan.6 attack investigators.”
